Scalp Micropigmentation is a non-invasive method of inserting pigment into the dermal layer of the scalp. Trained technicians operate a machine that utilizes microneedles to deposit customized pigment. This 100% effective and immediate solution creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles which gives an undetected illusion of natural, thicker, and fuller hair and hairlines. For completely bald clients, SMP will provide the appearance of a buzz cut, thereby restoring a frame to the face.
Initially, clients provide a minimum of 6 photos (via text or email) which include the ever-important, Bird's Eye View (top of their Crown), left + right then back + front views of their Crown (head). You and a technician will have a telephone or Zoom conversation to discuss the area of treatment, recommended service, and price.
After a free consultation, you book an appointment. Typically, 2-3 sessions are required lasting 2-3 hours each, spaced 7-14 days apart to provide the most natural, safe, and discreet transition of your "crown”. A touch-up may be scheduled in 4 to 6 years if needed. The first session is typically the longest. Procedures are performed in our sterilized office. Our staff is blood pathogen certified. Immediately following the procedure, you can return to your daily activities.
An ACW Specialist will partner with you to construct your desired results customized to your features. We categorize our base hairlines as Conservative (age-appropriate), Natural(most common), and Hard(bold edged up style). Ultimately, we will create your personal preference.
SMP is considered semi-permanent, in that it typically lasts 4-6 years. Many clients' treatments last longer. If slight fading is experienced, simply come back for a quick touch-up.
